Safeguarding is an absolutely vital part of everything we do at William Booth Primary and Nursery School. Outstanding safeguarding is about trying to ensure that all of our pupils, their families, our staff and our community feel safe and happy. To do this we need to have the right values and take the right actions to prevent issues arising and deal with them effectively when they do. WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT A CHILD

If for any reason you become concerned about a child’s well-being you need to talk to somebody. This could be because of something a child has told you, something you have heard or something you have seen. It may be concerns about a child suffering or being at risk of suffering harm, either whilst at school or at home. You can talk to a Designated Safeguarding Lead in school, another member of staff or directly to Children & Families Direct (0115 876 4800). If there is an urgent danger or an emergency then phone the police on 999.
